They saw what I saw before anyone else believed me.

We'd been to three pediatricians. Everyone said "he'll catch up." Milestone was the first place where someone sat down with us for an hour and just — listened. Six months later, Liam is saying his sister's name.

"By 26 months he had maybe five words. The pediatrician said boys develop slower. I knew in my gut something was different."

We were referred after Noah's 2-year checkup. He wasn't pointing, wasn't waving, and the words he had were disappearing. I'd spent weeks on Google at midnight. Walking into Milestone felt like someone finally opened a door. Diane and I both cried in the parking lot after the first evaluation — not from sadness, but from relief. Someone finally said: we see it too, and here's what we can do.

After 8 months of speech therapy, Noah uses 200+ words and is starting two-word combinations.

"He couldn't eat at a restaurant, couldn't wear certain fabrics. I thought I was doing something wrong as a parent."

Arjun would melt down at the grocery store. Fluorescent lights, the sound of a shopping cart, the feeling of tags in his shirts — everything was too loud, too bright, too much. His preschool teacher suggested an OT evaluation. I was nervous it would be a label. Instead, it was a map. Our OT sat on the floor with him and within twenty minutes understood things about my son I hadn't been able to explain to anyone.

Arjun now eats at the family table, tolerates most fabrics, and started kindergarten this fall.

"Three therapists, one team, one child. For the first time, everyone was talking to each other."

Isla was flagged at her 15-month well-visit. Low muscle tone, limited babbling, not pulling to stand. We were referred to early intervention but the waiting list was four months. Milestone got us in for an evaluation within ten days. What we didn't expect was that the speech pathologist and occupational therapist would co-treat — in the same room, in the same session. Isla didn't have to be three different kids for three different specialists. She was just Isla.

At 30 months, Isla is walking independently, has 50+ words, and is enrolled in a typical preschool program.
